BERMUDA TRIANGLE BLUES (Flight 45)*

The project « Bermuda Triangle Blues (Flight 45)»* looks at the Bermuda Triangle myth, at the event at the origin of the myth and the "official" accounts relating to the disappearance of various planes and ships in the Bermuda Triangle region. It also considers notions of marine safety, the cartography of the zone as well as the diffusion of the Bermuda Triangle myth in popular culture. 

The works in this series were assembled following Dali's Critical Paranoiac Method, which he described as the ability of the brain to perceive links between things which rationally are not linked. In this way, CGC proposes a drawing of a floating device experimented by the CNRS in the 20's, a text-based work using such sources are military articles and references to the myth from popular culture of the 70's and 80's, Buckminster Fuller's "airocean", and other cartographical representations of the zone invented by CGC.

« Bermuda Triangle Blues (Flight 45)» s’intéresse au mythe du Triangle des Bermudes ; à l’évènement lié à la naissance du mythe, les témoignages « officiels » autour des disparitions des navires et avions dans la région, aux notions de sécurité liées à la navigation, à la cartographie de la zone, ainsi qu’à la diffusion de ce mythe dans la culture populaire.

Les pièces conçues pour ce projet ont été assemblées suivant la méthode Paranoïa Critique de Dalì, qu'il décrivait comme étant un procédé de création associant spontanément des connaissances irrationnelles. L’une des pièces fait référence aux recherches du CNRS sur un type de flotteurs dans les années 20, d'autres font référence à la fois à la culture populaire des années 70-80 (qui s'intéressait à nouveau au mythe du Triangle des Bermudes) ainsi qu’à des témoignages provenant des journaux de l’époque de l’accident originaire du mythe et des rapports militaires traitant ce même sujet. Une version de la mappemonde de Buckminster Fuller est aussi proposée
