seen at the Louvre

My favorite discovery this WE: the work of 18th century marine and amateur botanist, Louis Marc Antoine Robillard d'Argentelle, who spent many years creating "carporama", a group of wax sculptures of plants and fruit he encountered during his trips in the Southern Hemisphere... Wild and sometimes oversized chocolate beans and coconuts (still attached to their branches), shown for the very first time ever and displayed at the louvre in a group of vitrines conceived by artist Isabelle Cornaro.
